You have to build all the spaceship parts first then hit the launch button on the spaceship screen.

IIRC the manual covers this...

first, build the Apollo Program, then start building all the ship parts.
when the last part is build the "launch" botton is available and once you press it the ship flies away...and you win!!!

What's the current date in your game? The game ends at the latest in 2050 AD. You may go on playing past that, but the game is over as far as win / loss is concerned.

Never tried it, but it may very well be that you can build your ship but can't launch after 2050.

Well if you are still building the spaceship after 2050 the screen disappears after building the final part.
