True. Here are the numbers for the different drugs, I am not sure how to read it as the change in the "controls" straddle that of the "test" subject, so I am not sure you can say much.

I think there’s something to be said for regulating and standardizing edibles, which can be a crapshoot (i.e. inconsistent/unpredictable efficacy rather than there being harmful gunk in them)

I guess there are different levels of regulation. The rules being "if you say it is 10% THC it has to be about that", like beer, or "you cannot make it out of cyanide", like cakes may be a good thing. The rules being "Every particular formulation has to have an LD50 done on it", like medicines, may not be.
