.jpg to .dds converter

Does anyone know of a safe download converter to convert .jpg to .dds, so I can make my own leaderheads?

I use GIMP with a DDS plugin for my dds editing. GIMP is a free image editor (like paint, but more advanced). You can open and save image files in most formats. (some, like .dds require a plugin) Just open the .jpg and save it in the .dds format.

Be aware that jpg isn't lossless. This means you will end up with jpeg artifacts from the compression, which can be seen as noise in the image. Lossless formats like png or bmp should be preferred. Sure if you need a picture of a historical person, sometimes all you got is a jpg, but it is something you should keep in mind if you have a choice.

to make DDS buttons and unanimated leaderheads. Upload your JPEG and download the DDS. Make sure to specify format.
