Ruler: Ramesses II (Egypt) - Spiritual/Industrious

Speed: Marathon

Reasoning...

1. Industrious ~ +50% to Wonder Production (crucial) - +100% to Forge Production (nothing spectacular, but useful)

2. Spiritual ~ +100% to Temple Production (helpful, but likely not vital), No Anarchy (powerful, if not critical)

Map Size: Small

Other Map Settings: Defaults

Other Rules: No Culture Flip, No Vassals and No Tech Trading

Won By: Space Race

Maybe someone like... knows when to build new cities in a normal game of Civ4? That way, I can just play the game as it was like... intended?!… (Assuming that I prove my worth by not spamming saving/reloading [and also start off in the Ancient Era w/o the Advanced Start setting {game's default start}])

Obviously though, I know that rulers with the "Imperialistic" trait are pretty useless, except for their faster Great General Emergence. Otherwise, I'm kind of stuck; and really don't know what to?!… Help, maybe?!…

Congrats! A win is a win and nice to get your first one on OCC:)

Indeed OCC is a rather different game to the regular one, and many of the tactics are not that transferable.

A good guide to the ‘full’ game is here:

Despite the name this will take you a long way.

As you start your Civ IV journey don’t worry too much about leaders / traits. All leaders are worth playing: I’d just pick one you like and roll from there!
