I just finished Planescape Torment. Just an awesome, awesome game. But I feel so empty inside now. I feel like I will probably never play another game with such a cool story where I feel so attached to the characters. It makes me sort of sad. I'm not really sure why I made this post.

I guess recommendations for a next game might be nice. :). I've got a bunch of games sitting on my hard drive, and on my PS3, but I really want something else with a really great story. Maybe The Longest Journey or Beyond Good and Evil. I do have Bioshock for PS3, so maybe I'll play that next.

Damn, that was a great ending.

Very cool game. I'm surprised how emotional it can be considering how little spoken word is in the game. I was pretty upset at the things the Transcendent one was saying to Annah before he

killed her

I'd love to see this game remade with modern graphics and voice acting. But you know they would just ruin the game. Unfortunately, the game didn't make any money really. So be grateful the game got made at all. A game like that will never be made now days.

It was Nordom's that got me:

Spoiler :
You intend to harm one who has aided Nordom at cost to himself. Nordom will attempt to stop you. Prospect of success: slight.

:(

It was Grace at the very end that got me, it was a bit unexpected:

Spoiler :
"I CANNOT REMAIN HERE FOR MUCH LONGER. MY PUNISHMENT CALLS, AND FATE AND TIME SHALL SOON BE HERE. I WILL RETURN YOU TO SIGIL, IF YOU WISH."

"That is not my wish." Fall-From-Grace reached forward, and her hand lightly touched my arm. There was a slight tingling sensation, barely felt, then she took it away. "I will find you again, no matter where in the Lower Planes you will be - just as you shall be able to find me."

"IT MAY BE A LONG TIME. WHERE I AM BOUND, TIME IS NOT MEASURED IN YEARS. AND THE CRIMES I HAVE COMMITTED ARE STRONGER THAN ANY CAGE."

"No cage shall separate us, and no Plane shall divide us." Fall-From-Grace's face became like stone. "Keep thinking of me, and we shall meet again."

"I SHALL NOT FORGET ALL YOU SACRIFICED FOR ME."

She shook her head. "Just do not forget me."

"TIME LAYS WASTE TO ALL THINGS. BUT I SHALL FIGHT IT AS LONG AS I CAN."

"Time is not your enemy. Forever is."

Everything about that last section of the game is brilliant though, the deaths, the various incarnations, the bronze sphere, Deoinarra, the conversation with the Transcendant one, and the final goodbyes.

a brilliant game, indeed.
and you won't find anything like it.

the only one that gave me at least a small taste of the wonders of multiverse was the Mask of the Betrayer Addon for Neverwinter Nights 2. Mind you, the original campaign is beyond boring, though.

I have bought this game, and played for a bit.. can't be bothered to continue, it didn't hook me in.. I got as far as emerging into the city (if i remeber right, hope that makes sense)

yeah the mortuary is kind of tedious, but does introduce you to the controls and combat a little bit. Most games have those annoying "starter" levels. Mortuary is pretty linear and straightforward. The hive is fairly nice as it opens up the quests a lot more, gives you freedom to roam and talk to people. And has a little bit of combat here and there (that mausoleum and alley of dangerous angles).
