Hi All
Just played my first FFH game and WOW, what an amazing mod.
CiV to me has lost a bit of its flavor compared to other civ's. The total realism mod reignited it for a while but this takes it the whole way. Truely amazing job on this guys and thanks for all the effort you've put in. The fun and experimentation really makes me feel like a kid again. I also love the early exploration stages, before it was just sending units about uncovering the map. Now my units are fighting, dying, trying to survive all in the hope of finding something awesome as theres no idea whats in that next bit of blacked out map. I don't know if the general consensus is to stay away from lairs early, but the inner gambler/curiously in me has killed/mutated many a unit of mine, I just cant leave them alone.
Anyway, so how did my first game go? Played on noble to introduce me to the mod and let me experiment with different options without being wiped out, as the amurites. Had a massive lead (as its very possible to do on noble) in all senses, so after about 300 turns, thought i should probably check the victory conditions... By changing my nodes constantly the tower of masters approach was simple, and, apart from every DoWing me, went without issue. This vc seems similar to the spaceship in vanilla civ, so I'm now playing my second time this time on monarch but with this vc removed. (I always remove the spaceship victory, as I always end up going for it and theres more fun endings to go for...).
Anyway, I guess this was a long winded and waffly way of saying excellent work guys, really enjoying it.
