Ok, I am working on a new map (yeah I know I disappeared but you know, sh*t happens and I'm back now).

Anyways here is a WiP of what I have done so far on my map of the Empire (from Warhammer) Most of the basic terain is down so you can see the layout. What I am going to do next is add more detail, resources, some underground tunnels for Dwarves, Orcs, Goblins and Skaven. Once the map is out I am then going to work on a scenario for it by making 12 'Empire' factions, one for each province. So basically here it is:

Looks like a nice start, although I'm not all that familiar with the WH geography. The terrain could use some variation (perhaps that's what you mean by detail) to break up those large swaths of the same terrain. How are you going to make tunnels, some kind of LM terrain? And are the land bridges across the rivers for city placement?

Yeah breaking it up with what I meant by terrain and the land bridges are indeed for cities.

As for the tunnels maybe valleys would be a batter term. Whatever they are they will be pretty similair to how I did them on my other map. (check out the far right): http://forums.civfanatics.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=202604&d=1233778161
