i'm about 2/3 way through a game when, all of a sudden, when i assign my worker to do something, i get the foreign advisor popup saying 'Madame, this will cause war with the American people. Are you sure?', to which i say 'No'. But it comes up again and again. i've been just holding the Enter key down to keep saying no, and i'll do that for about 30 seconds. then it stops, only to start up again a few seconds later when i try to assign a unit to do something. i'm nowhere near the border.
i have the latest drivers for my PC, etc. my version of civIII is the box set that includes PTW, Conquests, etc. i'm playing standard Civilization with no mods.
