Never play after winning, most of the time I even quit long before I've won. When I know it cant belost anymore, it kinda becomes a drag to me. Still have nightmares about the milking game I once tried
When I first played Civ II I always tried to maximize the improvements to all my cities. But I find that now I lose almost all interest after I've won or lost -- so I quit at the end.
there are probably games I've won in the allotted time that I would struggle to win after scoring has stopped, ie the squeezed out diplomacy win when you only have a few cities left or the spaceship win where you have used all the military destroying other civs capitals / spaceships and the nukes are beginning to rain on you
Sometimes I do, other times I don't. If I was going after a specific goal once I accomplish it and when than I am normally done, but if I was just playing for a high score or just experimenting I'll continue playing until every other civ in the world is dead.
Only being into my second game of Civ 3, I haven't even hit the end. My end was at 1600 when the whole continent declared war on me... (extra large maps for me in future)...
But this game I will continue right past.
Looks like it will be a Space Shuttle win - if I win.. after that it will be time to wipe out some civilizations
