Don't know if this is known but I'll post it and collect the reactions. In my last game I started to build the Forbidden Palace in one city but then decided to put it in another. I changed the build in the original city and started it in the other. On completion I got the message that Antium can no longer build the Forbidden Palace and a pile of casch landed in my treasury. I dont know how this is possible and I can't rememeber if I cancelled the build in the original city or if it just got qued up. But if it was qued how could I star building it in another city. A glitch or what?:crazyeye:

it is known and it is one of the numerous ways to get money.

What happened?
You cancelled the build in Antium, started and finished somewhere else, and earned 2 gold for every hammer invested in Antium.
That's twice as much as what you get by building money+overflow hammers get converted too+you can chop for gold.

It's usable on every national or world wonder. Forbidden palace isn't the most common one, because the finished wonder relieves so much maintenance gold by itself!
I do it sometimes with stonehenge early game, or Great Library, or globe theater.
