Quick Question

What is the diffrence between cannons and Hwacha? They have the same bombard of (6?) so what is the difference?

In C3C, hwachas have lethal bombard.

And it can actually trigger a bloody GA, unlike its PTW version

define lethal please

lethal bombard.

Can kill any unit by bombardment. Other bombard units can only damage a unit until it has 1hit point left.

Ah ok thank you, I thought he was just saying lethal instead of deadly :P

Trebs/Scouts/Cats whatever are Veteran when they were build in a city with Barracks as well, they just don't show it (and it doesn't matter, btw).
I think it matters a little bit, as I have been told that H'wachas can produce leaders.

Hwatcha should have been left with the higher bombard value (as in C3C early patches) AND lethal bombard.

As it is they are too weak to be very useful. I'd rather have a Cav instead of 2 Hwatcha...

They are useless, especially considering that cavalry comes one tech later, so might as well build some knights and upgrade them a couple turns later.

Are you sure that Hwacha can produce Great Leader? Did anyone experience that actually? It's look strange for an artilery weapon.. :crazyeye: ..but that's good if true (otherwise Korea would be disadvantage...'tho Americans will be the only one with UU that not produce the Great Leader /don't tell me ther's fighters can do it also  /).
edit: o yeah .. we still have byzantinians and portugese and english.. :scan: ..forgot..

Yes, they can definitly produce MGLs.And IMO, they are far from being useless...they become even more useful if they game goes on and if you move up in difficulty.A stack of artillery is nice, but having some Hwachas on top is even better. This way you can capture enemy cities without any damage and risk for your units.

actually they do, you'll notice some workers have movement dots higher than others

curently booting up my editor to run tests for the Hwacha producing leaders/upgrading

EDIT:wait, if Hwachas were able to produce great leaders, would bombers, and i've never seen that happen :hmm:

i give up this is so really cool guy frustrating!!! testing these Hwacah'as

Actually I think H'wacha's shouldn't have the lethal bombard, you could theoretically destroy enemy civs without risk of a lost unit!
p.s. does anyone know if the AI skips Milatary tradition until the end of the age, because if so H'wachas could be useful a bit more than you give them credit for.
