KPBEM2 - Killer second PBEM

Please don't print my email on the board. Could you instead send an email to everyone with all of our addresses included? And when is this game starting? I'm eager to play!

I am currently setting up games as my map tests came out very good. Before we start I will post two example maps so you all know what 'style' the map will be.
 
game has started.

everyone: PLEASE DO AS FOLLOWS!!!!


1) Start PTW
2) select Multiplayer
3) select local games
4) select host
5) select game type: PBEM
6) select AI difficulty: REGENT (sorry, whoever wanted emperor, I forgot and I don't want to have to restart. I hope it is OK?)
7) select game mode: load game
8) select the save file you received
9) play and save normally.


Once I get the game back we can start loading normally from the PTW main screen, but we need to do the above procedure to ensure the game doesn't default to cheiftain!!!!!!!!
 
here are two examples of how these maps turn out.

they wrap x and y, have relatively little jungle, are 80 tiles wide and 100 tiles high. If you check the heigth and width of the white rectangle you cna just about guess that the map is higher than usual...

Game passed to Kevinicus. I couldn't select the AI difficulty as the option box was greyed out. It had the value of 'custom' though, so I guess everything's okay.
 
Just played and sending it to Wildfire. Setting the difficulty was done too. :D
 
Sashaddin: it is default on REGENT, you have to select something different if you want it. THEN you load the game - and then it is greyed out. If you didn't select it, it will lukcily be REGENT by default ;)
 
I have played my turn but can't send it along to Sabo. Please post your e-mail or send it to me. I don't want to hold the game up so I will post the save here. Also, don't forget to read the instructions to make it regent level.
 
Just to let everyone know about the X-Y wrapping. There's a glitch (even in Vanilla civ) if you bombard (planes) 1 tile under/above the north/south line. (the top/bottom of the map).
 
Chieftess: thanx! In the same area, city names and messages (like promotions) aren#t displayed either....
 
That's a pretty ugly bug. (Y-wrap)

I always loved the doughnut worlds in CTP and have been dying to try one out. Hmm, maybe my next game.

Killer, I am happy to be an early reserve if anyone drops out or just plain dissapears from cfc altogether :rolleyes:
 
Maybe, everyone drops out and the regulars fill in the gaps...

Just to let you guys know in advance, I'll be on a training course all week next week, so won't have Civ access from Saturday 25/1 to Sunday 2/2. :(

Hopefully, Sabo will get the game to me before Friday so I can get my first turn in. So that I don't hold the game up in the 2nd turn, perhaps Sabo could copy Killer the save file he passes on to me, and I'll get Killer to play my turn for me (it will probably be just pressing enter anyway!).

thanx for telling us beforehand. sabo10 has posted again last night (seems he was away), I'll try to contact him ;)

I'll gladly press enter for you - eyes closed ;) actually I could ask someone here a t work to look at the screen and tell me if there's anything to do so I don't even have to see the starting pos.....
