So I watched "La Haine" last night for the third time last night (excellent movie), and it got me thinking about societal troubles. Then I remembered the November '05 French riots, and it got me wondering how accurately this movie portrays French society, even up until now.

For those who haven't seen the movie, you can check out the wiki page on the movie, though the plot summary does contain spoilers.

So, to all the French posters who have seen this movie, how well does it reflect the problems in French society?

It might be interesting to know that there was a german movie with the exact same title (..) about a turkish immigrant kid terrorizing a german upper class family.
