Lag problem

Hi,

I just installed Warlords and it works fine for maybe 3-4 turns, then it becomes laggish and very slow and everytime I have to CRTL+ALT+DEL to my Desktop, wait five minutes and hope it's done lagging. And it just keeps doing this randomly. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just me? Any help?

there are many posts on this subject - I believe it was introduced around patch 1.52 - there has been no solution provided for the slideshow slowness issue that I have heard at this point.
