Lan offline, is it really possible?

Hello Civ Fanatics

Im trying to set up a Lan MP game with my brother but can't make it work.

Im doing this way:

PC 1: Run Steam, change username go offline.
PC 2: Run Steam, change username, go offline, start Civ, Host a Lan game.

When I run Civ in PC 1 and go to the Lan lobbie, there is no servers in the list, it doesn't find the one I'm running at PC 2.

Same network, no Anti Virus, no Firewall. Connecting to internet games, works at both PCs.

What should I do to make it work, any idea?

I do it all the time, but I usually leave one player online, not sure if it makes a difference.
Basically as long as the usernames are different it should work. I asume you've tried the refresh button?
