Hello... I'm having a few of my buddies over to play Civ 6 Lan tomorrow... myself and 1 other have experience, but are relative novices, and the other two guys are basically beginners, other than playing a lot of civilzation revolution.
1) What settings should I use, specifically turn timer? Could someone please explain the dynamic turn timer in better detail/laymans terms? From researching a little, I know there is a formula, based on game speed and city amount and unit amount modifiers, but how would dynamic on quick speed compare to say a standard turn timer of 150 seconds?
2) I was leaning toward:
a) quick speed (online speed just seems too fast to balance exploration with the eras/production)
b) standard turn timer -150 seconds a turn (does this kick in when the first player ends turn? or is it a hard 150 seconds? I'd use dynamic if its something that kicks in when the first person ends their turn and it gives more time in later eras, but I don't want to pick it and have it be way too fast for us as novices or way too slow and ruin our evening.)
c) simaltaneous turns (were all pretty used to this from civ rev and dont mind the click fest for war)
d)standard size with 4 AIs players (maybe large, but thats probably pushing it for quick speed, I'm thinking)
e) allowing all victory conditions/barbarians/tribal villages (were novices... why not?)
Any suggestions to what settings we should go with would be greatly appreciated! And if anyone could really help explain to me the dynamic tunr timer, that would be awesome! Thanks for reading
