I have a laptop computer. Its fan's filter gets filled up with lint and dust and stuff and reduces battery life and causes it to get really hot. I can't figure out how to take the filter out to clean it. Could I take an air-compressor and when my computer is off, blow air through the fan in the opposite direction as the fan blows when it’s on? Would this cause any problems or can anyone think of a better thing to do? The plugged fan is not very efficient so the computer just runs it harder and harder, draining my battery and just getting hotter. Thank you very much.

You can but canned air for that purpose at electronics stores. The canned air would be cleaner and drier than air from a compressor, so would be better for delicate electronics.

Also, make sure you dont spin the fan. That can cause it to overspin and break, either making it really noise or cease function completely.
