laptop issue

OK i was playing civ5 battery was plugged in and was charging and then all of a sudden the whole system switched off i tried turning it back on but it wont turn on now does any know whats gone wrong and how to fix it because i am assuming that something has been fried thanks. laptop is aspire 7736

When my laptop shut down like that when playing civ 4 it was due to overheating. Make sure the fans/vents are clear of dust. If it won't turn on even after it has cooled down though that sounds nasty.
