So, I'm online looking for a new computer. Those who have read some of my previous posts will know why. :D

What laptop do you recommend that I buy that can run Celestia (link in my sig) at 15 - 20 fps in OpenGL 2.0 mode that is within $1,100 USD? My current computer can already do that, and it only cost $500 to $800 USD.

For reference, my computer is a HP Pavilion dv6815m laptop, with a 1 GB NVIDIA Geforce Go 7150m graphics card, a 2 GH AMD Turion 64 Mobile Tech TL-60 processor, 3 GB RAM, and Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

EDIT: And yes, I did clean out my laptop. It still overheats.

EDIT 2: Also, I like to listen to music on the computer while running celestia, so good speakers are a plus, and my $1,100 USD budget includes taxes and shipping. Switching to different rendering modes can be done by hitting Ctrl+V, and if you have a graphics card that supports OpenGL, you can switch to OpenGL 2.0.

You can take a look at the one I have: MSI EX625.

It cost me 750$ +S/H & Tax. Runs a C2D P7750, AMD HD4670 mobility, 4GB of RAM. It can easily do crysis on medium settings at its native resolution. The only problems with it are that its 16" and at a fairly low 1366x768 resoltuon, so not a standard size, and the case is a wee bit flimsy. It is fairly light for a 16" though, and even for a 15.4" it would be. If you're willing to be careful with it, its pretty good. Otherwise, take a look at Lenovo's IdeaPad line.

As for your laptop: If you're any good with taking things apart and not having extra/lack of screws when putting it back together, take yours apart, wipe down the heatsinks for the CPU and GPU and apply new thermal paste. You should be able to find a maintenance manual online that will tell you how to take your laptop apart.
That will also help you clean it out a wee bit more where compressed air doesnt reach well. It may just be the thing to save you from a fairly large purchase.
