Large game

Looking for 6 others in a large mp game, on gigaworld map, using either fascist or government patches. Try an place your cities somewhere close to where they should be to simulate the real world, but what cities you do build are up to you. Imperialism all the way to at least 1000 ad, then total war if you like. Dont want spaceships, would like this to go to 2020 ad, unless 1 conquers all after 1000 ad. I hate bribing cities, so that may be disallowed, and the breaking of the rule cause all other civs to war with you.

Though you havent had much return in interest Mike, I do have some advice. Don't play a MP game on a Gigamap! It's too damn big! I tried it last year and the world reached the 255 city limit by covering maybe 30% of all land mass. By that time, turns were also taking near 20 minutes per player.

It sounds like a fun idea, but its just too much land!

Cool where do you get to be able to have this giga map it is good when no is near your civ for a long time.

Yes i played in the diplogame with drake using the World Gigamap i don't recommended it unless you can figure out how to get around the city limit. Like drake said only 30% of land was used and we had reached the limit.

Heirophant, found it in the Downloads collection.

I hope using this map does make a long game, hence the topic. But if you cant cover the entire map easier it would make city placement more of a concern early, get the good spots before the maps full.

I like long games too.....I like them a lot. But it is too large trust me. Picture your closest enemies being 50 tiles away. Thats an eternity if you want to have any sort of interaction, believe me.
