Does anyone know where I can download the most up to date version of the game editor and how exactly do I install it to get it to work? :)

There's always a link to the Civ3Edit download from the Westlake Projects page http://www.westlakeinteractive.com/projectstat.html

As to how to get it to work: I know how to get it to load onto my screen, but nott how to get any product of the program to work. I'm sorry to be obtuse, but everything I've ever done with Civ3Edit just causes the main application to quit. (I have a separate installation of Civ3 1.21g in an 'Editing Folder' with Civ3Edit, but my .bic files just fail).

It's fail too when I try to open some .bic map to modify it, and so on..
Nevertheless, I have the editor on a HD partition with the basic Civ III.
So ?

Unable to get Edit to work at all but it doesn't affect the game app. I was still able to play Civ III just not able to do anything in Edit and then after telling me about the assertion error it unexpectedlly quits. So whatever I will continue to play the game and have a good time with it that way.

Put the editor in your civIII folder.
Use 10.1+.
Patch your civIII to 1.21

have done all of that and it still doesn't work.

X.2.6,CivEdit is in Civ III folder with 1.21g patch

so who knows must just be me

No, we have exactly the same set-up Broinninn. All of my CivEdit products 'unexpectedly quit.' My separate games running under 1.29 Beta work fine.

I can't remember with what version of civ III I used the editor in, but when I tried using it, it didn't work the first time. This was when I had unzipped the file on my desktop. I then downloaded the compressed editor file again, placed it in my civ III folder, and then unzipped it. The editor worked fine. It's worth a try for those having trouble.

I did a complete reinstall of Civ III the 1.21 patch and then the editor. both the patcg and the editor I made sure to install/unzip inside the Civ III folder and still no go. It was worth a try though.

Download all of the latest versions of both, only put the Civ3 Edit App in the civilization folder. (It won't work if you leave it in its original folder)only put the Civ3 Edit App
