Leader animation and # of GB RAM

Basic tech question: I find that my leader animations are choppy compared to the nice/smooth leader animations in the livestreams, even when i put animations on the highest quality. I have 8 GB RAM (not 16 GB RAM). Is that why? Or is something like that influenced by something else?

I would think that would be your GPU (video card). I only have 8GB and I think mine are good (and I think I have them on high quality). Now my in between turn time and loading time however... For reference my GPU is at 970GTX

It's the video card primarily - if I'm playing on my mac laptop (which has plenty of RAM, subpar graphics card), they don't even run
