[LP] Leader Pass: Great Negotiators Technical Issues

Add something else to your check out (get something cheap, at the very worst, get a refund), it should procress.
This won't work because it is not "Add to cart" something thats 0.00 bucks, but "Add to Account", so it does not even go to your cart and it does not matter what's in there. Btw, very recently I done "Add to Account" for a 100 % discounted gift DLC for World of Warships, worked without a hitch. But for Civ 6, so far, there's always some problem when you try to add Anthology.

Edit: woops, you have browse to the Anthology item in Steam, which indeed you can add to the cart and couple it with something cheap, then it works. I've finally got them, but the playing now will have to wait until tomorow :)

The Julius Caesar one seems to work for me, but I didn't get the Great Negotiators pass yet.

When I hover over the anthology, it says I have 18/19. It shows the leader pass as the item missing. The Anthology is listed as costing $0.00. I have not tried to purchase it yet though. I only have 18 DLC available so I assume the 19th thing is the base game. Is that correct?

This trick is working for me. Now steam recognizes I have it.

Chess Brain (for £0.79) has now gone into my library, for this convoluted workaround. I think this is the most eventful content update Civ VI has had.

Some between about 2:30 this afternoon (PST) and 4:00 (70 minutes ago), someone did something, because I got a purple banner across the Civ VI screen on Steam saying "A new DLC has been added to your account and will be downloaded with your game". All the downloads took place earlier in the day, and I have done nothing since (have had all the DLCs for a year) but whatever: the entire Negotiators package seems to be loaded and working: played about 30 turns with Julius, Abe, and Sal in a game and it seems to work fine. Then I had to quit, because the game still sucks on so many levels . . .

You can get a refund for that if you wish.

Has anyone gotten it to work?
Nope. People have said on the subreddit to try and buy the Anthology since it zero bucks but all I get is this message:

An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed.
Please wait a few minutes and try again.
If you encounter this error repeatedly, please contact Steam Support.

Apparently it is happening to a lot of people as well. All I can say is that right now Leader Pass is getting reviewed bombed on everything due to the technical issues. Perhaps Firaxis should have waited till next Week to release the DLC when it is not skeleton staff in the offices.

Try this:

I've been able to receive the Leaders Pass, it's been added to my account without me having to do anything. But on Linux, Civilization VI (broken enough as it is) isn't able to download and install Julius Caesar, all but one of the New Frontiers DLCs, and the Great Negotiators Pack. Their folders aren't in the game files. And anyway, it seems I'm on a version of Civ VI from 2019. I've reinstalled and verified, but no luck yet.

I'm guessing Aspyr or Firaxis have still not taken out the "libfreetype.so.6" file that makes launching Civ VI on Linux impossible yet.

Edit: The silver lining - I think this version from 2019 doesn't have the science bug, because it would be the first update for NFP, the one that added Maya and Gran Colombia (so of course it wouldn't recognise newer DLCs). And to be honest... this is not bad. I would rather have this version. But I did pay for the rest of NFP...

This has been there for a while,

I think it's now even out of 2K's hands, the issue is now Steam not processing 0,00$ carts.

This actually works. Thank you!!

This happened to me too. Uninstall and reinstall, fixed it for me.
Yes, verifying did nothing, but uninstalling and reinstalling, followed by clearing all mods (the sets of mods were scrambled) works. I have Julius Caesar, but still no access to Leader Pass; waiting for store to get fixed.

I've got a good one for you all...I'm a Mac user. My machine is old, but has run Gathering Storm without issues since it first came out. No large maps, just standard and small, but that's OK. Now, all as of today, I'm told that my OS is too old...10.13.6 (High Sierra) instead of 10.14.6 (Mojave) or higher. WTH?! No mention of this anywhere that I saw, nor does the Steam client/installer check to see if your OS is up to date...that would have helped :-(

So, if that error message is even correct (I still haven't found anywhere that states 10.14.6 is required, must a pop-up from Steam when I start Civ) is there any way to roll back to an earlier version...I was playing today with no problems, as every day for ... years!

Thanks to all

What a debacle. *Ugh*

Like many of you, I have Caesar now, but not the Leader Pass. I have all DLCs but not the Anthology pack per se. Likely wait now until tomorrow and see if Steam gets this figured out tonight.

I‘m in the same boat
