Leaderhead portraits

Hey guys

Just wondering how to change a leaderhead portrait to a different picture. It's not that I don't like the present pictures, I just want to change one of them for my own personal preference

Not that I have any experience with civ modding. This still doesn't tell me how to change the picture :s

You have to be able to make a .dds file first off, that is the only format of picture which will work.

Then go into the XML/Art folder and look for the one which refers to the Civilizations or Leaderheads and find the entry to match what you quoted in the last post. That one calls the .dds which you want to use.

OK... how does one make a dds? Is this done through civ modding, or is it a general image I can convert any other image to?

Also, do I just specify a path name for the picture in the tag?

Either this or this should let you make DDS files.

And then you have to call that dds from Assets/Art/CIV4ArtDefines_Leaderhead.xml

Btw what image size should I use for leaderhead models? I was going to customise my picture before converting it to DDS.

Also, why do leaderhead pictures not appear in hotseat mode diplomacy between players? Is this a bug?

DDS will have to be 512x512 pixels.

As for the Hotseat problem, I couldn't say. Haven't Hotseated a game in ages.
