Lebensraum 1939 Playtest PBEM

ok everyone i'll post my turn today

Guys- I dont know bout U but I already got some constructive criticism for the game: Since it is an MP Spain hasn't got either a sufficiently big army, or alternatively not a sufficiently productive economy- it has got loads of cash though  I have been playing in single-player to see how to best use the Spanish and it took me until mid 1943 to have some sort of an army (that'd probably not stand against a small attack by Britain or France anyway). The Strongpoints are too "strong" and make conquests too expensive- one would have to appear with a huuuuge army and suffer terrible losses in any counterattack !!

I don't know how realistic this is (history-wise) but I fear I won't have anything much to do for the first 45 turns

SPAIN is not playable i a multiplayer game !!!!!!! (just realised that I can't even scratch the paint with the Spanish arsenal- just lost 4 field artillery and one bomber against an entringed infanty)

well this is a playtest

Poland Invaded!
The German Wermacht supported by the 1st,2nd,5th,6th and 7th Armored Divisions, the 10th-18th Motorized Infantry Divisions and the 8th Bomber Group and the 10th fighter group overran poland earlier today, leaving Lemberg and Brest-Litovisk to live up to our part of the Non-aggression Pact.
Austria and Hungary have been assimilated into the Third Reich. Romania will be next.

Odense has been taken and Copenhagen is expected to fall next.
Denmark will soon be under the protection of the Third Reich.

British Neutrality Announced

British PM Darius has made the decision to declare neutrality in relation to recent German actions in Europe. At the moment we haven't the right nor the means to entangle ourselves in Eastern European affairs; we'll stick with Western Europe for now. So as long as Germany and Italy leave Britain, France, and the Low Countries alone, they can have a free hand in the east (including against the communist butcher Stalin  ).

This is not appeasement, but rather the realization that Britain has no place to intervene in Eastern European politics, just as Germany and Russia have no place to intervene to the west.

*As tension seems to be rising (or not) in Eastern Europe, Spain announces its will to remain Neutral, and is inviting the Nations of Europe to embrace closer diplomatic relations with the Spanish Monarchy. Britain, Turky and Russia are specially welcomed to exchange technological advances with our own for mutual benefits.

*Spain has just overcome a difficult and controversially dark period of civil war, having settled into a stabile peace which it hopes to extend across the Iberian Peninsula- especially towards the Portugese which remain in civil war and represent a destabilising factor for the safe passage of shipping of larger Nations- Spain is willing to secure and keep these water ways open. Although our political position may differ, we request French assistance in the liberation of Oporto and Lisbon. Spain effectivley offers Benevolent Neutrality until the end of 1942 with the option of extension of this arrangement!

Britain, do you want me to consider this as a declaration of war?

Absolutely not, it's neutrality, which means we won't intervene in any war between Germany and the Soviet Union.

After a meeting with British diplomats, France has decided to try and smother this war from the start. Thus we request a peace with Germany and declare neutrality regarding eastern Europe. However, France stays firm in defending the independence of the Netherlands and Belgium and in defending the people of France. Any attack on the Low countries or Great Britain will be seen as an act of war on France!

Will France assist Spain via bombardement of Portugal ???

Aight, this is an updated rules file from FMK. Look here for an explanation of the changes. :)

   I saved the new rules.txt in the game directory... and my Destroyers have 18 movement!!!!!
Is that correct??

BTW, i´m using Turkey and i´m interested in conquering some Greek / Bulgarian cities. Can i do it??? You know, i don´t want to begin a new conflict (well, Germany has already begun one)
So, can I invade or not?

I was testing the scenario and i found out that there are "German Landser" defending bulgarian and romanian cities. But the flags of the cities belong to the neutrals!! And when i attacked those cities, i declared war on Germany!!!

Well, Turkey looks like Spain... IT SUCKS!!! It shouldn´t be playable in a multiplayer game...
If you want me to go on, i´ll do it. Otherwise, I quit. This is going to be extremely boring :(

Those are German units, and in the second turn (they have no movement in the first) the German player occupies the neutral cities with those units to represent those nations' alliances with Germany. AFAIK you can take the cities as long as you don't attack the German units, although SunTzu would probably have a problem with that. edit: after looking at my situation in Ireland, I realize that you can't attack the cities either. Nevermind. :o

Yes, the guys at Apolyton convinced him to triple ship movements to make it more realistic in terms of time.

i have a problem with it. well i guess your not playing your turn. then next please.

yes, i´ll play my turn...
