Legal Discussion on New Naming Law

I suspect that many people may be skipping this discussion because they see the words legal and naming in the title. What do you think about putting just the random selection idea in its own thread, with a title that avoids the image of a legal discussion?

I disagree, DS. I suspect many people are ignoring this discussion because they don't really care about city naming. I realize it's a matter of interest and importance to some folks, but not to everyone. Personally, I'll be able to sleep soundly even if my choice for a city name never gets used.
