Lessons from GOTM #2

You're welcome, shadowdale. The GOTM has been a great experience for all of us.

I am still not very good with trade routes, but I hope to do some experiments on that in the current GOTM.

TF, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to use trade routes, as well. I need to go back over the info in the war Academy some time. I"ve read through it a few times, but never quite get it all conceptualized in my head. I *think* I'm getting better at it, but hard to know.

And yes, Tim, you were correct in what I meant by *having* to play. I"ve tried to take an attitude that if I finish, fine, but if I don't, no big deal. It has helped; that and smaller maps/higher levels

If I can make a of trade route suggestion:

Build a couple of airports in each continent and use them to ship your freight off each turn to the biggest, furthest city demanding the good. This is especially good for those small one-city islands.

Before I have airports I don't bother shipping between landmasses as it's too much bother. My 'great age of trade' doesn't really begin until I have rail, and then airport.
