I am having a bit of a problem with this leaderhead, it shows up fine in Nifskope, but the animation is screwed up in game. I'm really at odds in deciding whether I should try to save it or start over (the latter which I'd really like to avoid.)

I worked fine when I swapped the hair, but I tried to swap the beard with a new jaw, and well, all hell broke loose as far as the animations are concerned.
I think I'll try a new nifswap tommorow but I'm not sure thats it.

What I'd really like is some suggestions on trying to fix it or just tell me if its not worth it.

You need to post the blends and nif in order for anyone to help you. But maybe you attached something wrong? I'm not sure, I'm relatively new to this too, but I can tell you what's going on if you post what you have.

This is clearly a damaged SkinInstance (the data block making the connection between the mesh and the animated bones). Could have happened in a few ways - like applieng the mesh to the wrong skeleton, when moving over, or breaking it while editing... It's bad, but since it looks ok in NifScope previews, there is yet a chance it could be salvaged. The information provided isn't enought to tell for sure.

Looks like the very incarnation of the Balseraph Freak to me. :p

Maybe a good leader for the Fall from Heaven 2 minor leader modmod. ;)

Mutation ftw.

(Sorry couldn't resist... :D)

I'll take a look at it tomorrow, but it looks like a similar issue I had doing a Mindaugas LH. Unfortunately you might have to scrap the entire LH because you probably unknowingly used two different skeletons. That's what happened to me. I'll take a look at it.

I don't think that I got another skeleton mixed in, because I ripped off the jaw and deleted everything else, exported it and then loaded it into my main file. I went back and looked at the jaw and the crown, and niether had any skeletons attached to it.

I'm guessing that I must have moved the skeleton around somehow in Blender, which screwed it up.
Thanks for taking a look, Capo.

Okay, I redid this, actually trying to be smart and saving my steps, and I got it to work! :woohoo: (after a few tries :p) I just need to attach the jaw to the head itself, and reskin it, but at least I have a point to fall back on.
What do you guys think?
