life span of leaders?

ok, simple question for a simple small idea.

Should leaders (militaristic, religious, scientific, cultural, economic, etc ?) have a lifespan of x turns. (for example 20 - as long as a golden age?)

Pros:

• you can't chose when you want to have the golden age (as it is defined in civ3, we don't know about civ4)
• you can't get a leader in the ancient age and use it to rush leonardos workshop
• --> more realistic (?)

Cons:

• bigt change in gameplay structure
• less tactical thinking (you HAVE to use your leader now)
• --> less complexity (as a pro or a con)
