Yes, they spawn in the same spot - but they are often back to hostile! Rarely friendly, neutral at best.
They are neutral, but you could make them hostile by settling nearby unless you started befriending already.Yes, they spawn in the same spot - but they are often back to hostile! Rarely friendly, neutral at best.
Correct. Town A won't spawn treasure resources on Town B's behalf.Hi, I've tried testing this myself and looking it up but there still doesn't seem to be a hard consensus so just to double check based on others' experiences:
Only coastal settlements can generate treasure fleets, right?
ie. If I settle a town (town A) on the coast, which does not have any treasure resources, and then do an inland settle (town B) connected to it, which does have treasure resources, town A won't spawn treasure resources on town B's behalf?
Ah, ok. Though I noticed they were new IPs, but their statuses became neutral not friendly. The only thing that carried over from the previous age was their spawn tile. Not really. What they said was that your current suzerained CS will always start as an IP with a friendly status in the next age.

Since 1.2.0 I've noticed they are wayyy less likely to disperse them than before. There were even a couple unsuzerained ones left at the end of the era last game. Why does the AI go after CS so aggressively? They just love wiping them all out. I've only done it a few times and the reward seemed lackluster.
Why can't I put a shipyard here and here?
I've noticed the same. I managed to get through exploration in a deity 1.2 game where the AI only killed off one CS. But I noticed José killing one off immediately after starting modern. I will have to play more to see how it plays out. Not ready to pass judgement yetSince 1.2.0 I've noticed they are wayyy less likely to disperse them than before. It was. I went to war over an IP pre1.2. The AI was able to kill all its units and I was able to place a unit in the camp so he couldn't disperse it.This is probably due to the fix in 1.2.0 where IPs without units left no longer auto-disperse after some time. Apparently it was a thing.
Were there AI ship nearby? Ships no longer can disperse independents if they have unit on the tile, but I'm not sure if it works with any unit or just with units of this independent power. It was. It just disappeared after 2 or 3 turns!
It was a land locked IP with one of my units in all 6 tiles surrounding it.Were there AI ship nearby? Ships no longer can disperse independents if they have unit on the tile, but I'm not sure if it works with any unit or just with units of this independent power.
There is no “no Napoleon” button but you can manually choose your opponent leaders in game setup. I have the same Napoleon problem, so I block him (and Confucius) from my games. Can I prevent Napoleon from appearing in my games? Seriously, I'm getting tired of that dude...he's been in every game I started. Is there some bias in the files I can change to make him appear less, or prevent him outright? I know I can select which civs are in the game, but I see no way to set which civs NOT to have in the game...
