Little questions & answers thread

When there are 2 tiles between landmasses, without having a wharf or similar on the land mass housing my city center and placing a coastal wonder adjacent to it on the other landmass is there any way to create an urban district there? when you have multiple small islands like this it seems like the only way possible, unless i'm just missing something.

You have to build urban districts between them. I always build Fishing Quay in settlements with so much water and it allows grabbing tiles 1-tile away for urban districts. If they are 2 tiles away, you need to create another one, but this could be done even in Antiquity with Lighthouse.

Ok, thx, I didn’t think about adding say a wharf and a port opposite eachother.

I never noticed the flags either, but I clued in on the colour right away. I wish there was a brown one for production, and a white one for diplomacy.
I also noticed but haven't really poured over all the trinkets as clues.

So, I was playing a game trying out Ben Franklin leading Carthage (after realizing that Carthage was the only Antiquity Civ with a unique Production Building) and once I got Sicilian War II finished, I converted a town to a Trading Post so as to create a Codex slot, but didn't get one. I closed the game, reopened it, converted the town again, still nothing. Tried converting a different town, still nothing, and definitely had the appropriate civic finished. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? I believe this has always worked for me before. Thanks!

Have you researched Sicillian Wars in their civics tree? if so it's probably a bug.

Can I ask why? Battleships with a commander with the range promotion are a lot of fun. They'd be a lot more fun if the enemy could even begin to counter them though.
I don't play aggresively and concentrate on defense rather than attack, on sovereign difficulty the other leaders never attack my ships, only the IP do and they are easily defeated with ships from earlier eras.
