Hey people, I am a long time Civilization fan (I bought Civ1 when it was new). Eventually I craved a little more because while Civilization can be in depth (especially with 4), it wasn't quite as in depth as I was ready to take on. To actually manage a nation interactively with other people more like a real nation. After a while I usually found myself doing some in depth research into the countries and leaders I was playing on my Civ games. I found that Civilization (even 4) was no match for interacting with others to run a nation.
Now of course I knew I could not go run for a real office, as I have no desire too. But to simulate the workings of a government, even semi-realistically was something I seriously wanted to do. Then I found out about micro-nations. There are real world micro-nations (in its strictest definition) like San Marino. But there are also internet simulation based micro-nations. And people have the options to simulate economies, wars and infrastructure along with a political simulation. I found that to be awesome, so I decided to get some free hosting and install phpbb3 ASAP.
That is when Livlandia was born, the simulation of a Baltic nation. Right now it is just me and a friend, so I came here to see if anyone else has the same feelings as I do about this (a sort of evolution from Civ). The url is http://livlandia.co.cc.
