Lizard Marshes

Is there any way to increase the number of marshes in my territory? Lizards get sweet bonuses in the marshes, but while other civs can terraform their terrain to their taste, I seem to have no such ability.

It happens slowly over time with no interference from you

Fresh water sources speed it up

I think you can spring a grassland to make marsh which should go faster but not 100% sure on that

You can spring marsh to make swamp, but so far as I know there's no method to actively create marsh.
