Bartow scratches his head - he finally decides on a factory - with mined hill, and mined grass the city may be usefull.

I want some idea how hard Avignon will be to take out
4 mech inf, 2 rifleman. On the other had - startvation will be easy.
NOT building a space part like I thought it would be.
France is hurting for resources - 1 aluminum, 1 oil, 1 coal, 1 horse, 1 saltpeter.
We can easily criple their military production if we can find the source of materials.

Summary - This is the UGLIEST game I have ever played. I have NEVER had to deal with nukes before. :mad:

Here is what is going on - Transport in Pacific to take out the Aztecs islands.

Siberia is a great source for rushed units - I can't tell you how many I built up there.

>>> Once river bend gets the Cathedral, fire the entertainers - this city is about to kick butt!

Keep the transport in Channel Coast City shuttling units to England!

SUGGESTION: Build Tobruk (settler by Italy) then send the artillery to start bombing Abydos - I would like to OWN the Cure

for Cancer.

Run the Modern Army SoD to Washington - our BIGGEST threat for a space race win.
I think we will need to ship a few more MA to America.


At this point we don't have to take the civs out, just cripple them from any chance at a space race.

@ALL - Don't bother building universities - we don't plan to research that much - these put us at risk for a culture win.

1758AD(0) - Pre-turn. Shuffled some productions. Looks like we are hit bad with war weariness. Germany & Aztec peaced. Aztec attack us with Marines! :cool: We didn't lost a single unit in the counter-attack.
1760AD(1) - Clear off some strayed Egyptian & Aztec marines. Teotihuacan captured at the cost of 3 MA. New Frontier founded. New Paris captured.
1762AD(2) - Tlacopan captured. Baltimore captured. Calixtlahuaca captured. We signed Peace Treaty with Aztec and get Cempaola.
1764AD(3) - Avaris (Egypt capital) razed. Was Avaris founded on its ashes. Corner Filler founded. Edfu captured. Kish captured.

Did you secure a clear border to the USA?

Tlacopan captured. Baltimore captured. Calixtlahuaca captured.
Let's pray for no flips. I was razing most, as I didn't want to get hit with a flip.

If we lose our path to USA, we are in trouble.
 
I know, but American cultural influence was so huge that we also cannot afford to raze. :p Whats more, the captured cities has barracks which can hasten our push.
 
I suggest a MAJOR startvation program - as soon as NO resitance - rush a worker every turn and get those cities to size 1.
I have NEVER had a size 1 city flip :) I think the border city was size 16, very scary.


Please post updates to the space race.
It is still very tight, though Washington is getting in range [dance]

The odds of keeping a size 16 size are low.
We need to keep the path to America open.

Here is the answer.
Move a settler north-east of the size 16 city.
Abandon the size 16 city.
We are at war with America, and can build a new city in their territory.
The flip risk is now almost ZERO.
 
Size 16 city?? There are no size 16 city. ;) One Aztec city is size 12 and going down, the other is size 9 and going down. :p

Baltimore is size 5 when captured. And I do plan to raze the huge American cities once I start to capture some today. However, we might face another round of Nuke as America has 4 Nuke at the moment. I try not to concentrate the forces in one city to avoid being nuked. :D

Didn't get to play for 2 days. :p Finally manage to complete 10 turns and here is the rest of the result:

1766AD(4) - Moving of troops and management of workers and productions. Our Alliance with Russia against Egpyt ends.
1768AD(5) - Byblos razed. Neo Byblos founded on the ashes. Chicago razed with 1 Nuke. Neo Chicago founded on its ahses. Wow, a Germany Rifleman actually kill an Egyptian Marine. :D
1770AD(6) - Bufallo captured and another Nuke is gone. :cool:
1772AD(7) - Pisae captured. New Alaxandria captured. A Leader appeared and another Factory is rushed near Indo-China.
1774AD(8) - Mendes captured. Avignon captured. America & Japan embargo against us. :lol:
1776AD(9) - Atlanta razed. Neo Atlanta founded on the ashes. Buhen captured. Rouen captured. Germany & Japan alliance against Zulu. Japan & Egypt alliance against Germany. :confused:
1778AD(10) - Hieraconpolis captured. Abydos captured with Cure for Cancer.

Our army is next to Washington and after some bombardment should be able to take Washington next turn. Most of the captured Egyptian town is in starvation mode to reduce the size. I have also build up alot of infra so that any town that can produce more than 1 shield is set to grow and eventually factory. No major danger in term of spaceship other than America which will not be a problem after next turn. ;) Try to continue to starve Abydos as the extra happy face from Cure for Cancer will come a long way for us.

Ah, the fleet was originally intended to invade Aztec islands. But due to the speed of ships in Civ3, by the time they arrive its already peace time! :p
 
Only got the pre-turn done. Took a while to go over things and take a real good look.

1778 AD (Pre-turn)
Wake up all of the armour in Buffalo, use it to raze Philidelphia. Wake up some more and raze St.Louis. We get a GL who will rush something nice next turn. A lot of our cities seem to be building now war related stuff, like Mass Transit. Too many, and I switch some of them to something more militaristic. Meldor like big bang. Wake up artillary in England and have it bomb the two French cows in Ireland, the rest bombard the French one square city the the Northern Sea. Wake up the Aztec assualt fleet and send them towards Panama. They will head to Greenland and Iceland.

Aztecs and Persia sign peace accord. Russia and America find their way to peace. French complete one space part.
 
1780 AD (1)
We capture Shuruppak a size 2 Egyptian town. GL rushes factory in SA. 2 MI, 1 Marine, 2 Riflemen, 4 Pikes and a bowman stood in defense of Washington, but to no avail. Washington is razed, and with it both the Seti Wonder and the American Spaceship. If they get to Alpha-Centuari, it will be as a guest. Raze the Egyptian city of Orynx.
