LLL1 - The faithful servants of the Mushroom Cloud

Seems Mach is MIA and I will only be online at home after sunday, so we could delay this for a few days.

So, with Mach still missing (I hope it's only technical problems) what do we do with this game, Minute Man?

I'm not sure. I'd like to continue, but with only two people, it's a bit tough. And we still have quite a bit of fighting to go.

Maybe we should look for a couple more players? Surely there must be somebody interested in throwing nukes around. :)

But I guess if Mach hasn't shown up by this evening, I can pick it up and play the next 5.

To stretch it, we could change it

to 96h to play

to an open SG

or add players.

With the game in a very late stage I definitely favor the first variant. Who wants to join an SG that is in mid modern era? A rethorical question, I think.

Well, since the point of this game is to play with nukes, and we're at the stage now where we can do that without having to wait through the first three ages, I thought there might be somebody who wants to join in the fun.

But really, it's your game. I'm still here, and I'm willing to keep going with just the two of us if necessary, but I guess ultimately it's up to you.

That's a vital point.

I declare two spots open again.

The roster is

MinuteMan
Lullaby
(Mach)
- open -
- open -

Just play your five and we'll see.

Hey cool, just spent the last few hours reading this thread and you are looking for some fresh blood :)

Need a hand?

Welcome, AndrewN. :wavey:

Not much to report. Basically just waiting for ICBMs and bombers to be built. Trying to invade another continent would be folly at the moment, with all of the AI ships running around.

I sank a bunch of ships with our bombers, but I did lose one in the process. Once the airports finish and we can start cranking out bombers, I think we should be able to take control of the sea.

I saw some naval battles between France and Egypt during my first couple of turns. :D But after that they seemed to focus on us again. Not sure what that means.

A couple of landings (Gil sent a settler pair to try to reclaim some of his old territory  ), but nothing our armies couldn't handle.

Oops. ;)

I thought I put someone else in the next position. Will play tonight.

Turn 0, 1780 AD:
hit enter.

Turn 1, 1782 AD:
ICBM hits Paris.

Turn 2, 1784 AD:
ICBM hits Thebes.

Turn 3, 1786 AD:
nothing important.

Turn 4, 1788 AD:
nothing important.

Turn 5, 1790 AD:
Ecology in, research set to Synth Fibres.

Not much happening all in all. We should hit every capital every now and then to destroy any spaceship in built.

Not much to report, made a landing in Admerdam on the last turn, not sure if its enough to attack with though, I thought the city would be empty.

Have a few ICBMs rdy to launch.

Sorry, didn't realize I was up. What happened to AndrewN?

Anyway, I'm going to need a skip; I'm too busy this week.
