Load error with GOTM35

[Scandinavian]

Hi,

I try to enter the world of GOTM. However, I have downloaded and unzipped the start save, but when I load the game, I get the following message:

LOAD ERROR

Error Reading File

"\art\Units\eqWorker\eqWorker.ini

- and then it all terminates.

Does anyone have an answer to this ? Any help is appreciated.

Are you trying to play this in PTW or in Civ3?

If its in PTW you have downloaded the wrong version of teh start file - download the PTW one instead.

If you are trying to play in Civ3, then you will need to install some graphics packs first. Let me know, and I'll provide you with the links.

The PTW version doesn't require these downloads, so if you have PTW, I recommend playing in that instead.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was actually trying to play using CivIII but after I have switched to PTW it runs fine.

Hi, welcome to GOTM

If you are using a PC, and have Play the World or (or Civ3 Conquests which includes Play the World) then you should download the PtW version of the save file and you will need no graphics packs.

If you are using a PC and only have Civ3 version 1.29f the go here where the same question was asked.

If you are using a Mac then follow the Installers link in my signature.
