Loaded mod - But my game is still vanilla BTS?

Hi. I've been wanting to try Adv Civ, so I downloaded and installed the mod as per the instructions (also reverted my Steam copy of civ4 back to it's unsupported release version, for compatibility).

Yet after loading the mod, almost nothing has changed. There are a few new minor options when setting up a game (like "No Slavery") and the game gives different tips while loading, but everything else in the game is absolutely vanilla BTS. The tech tree, leaders, and everything else appear to be exactly the same.

What could be going wrong here? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, happy to see you interested in AdvCiv!

I get the impression from your message that maybe it works correctly after all. AdvCiv doesn’t look that much different to the vanilla version.

You could check out some more changes in the updates and see if they are correct in your mod. If there are no errors, then it probably works as intended. I’m not the expert here but that’s something to start with.
