local multiplayer

I am trying to play local online multiplayer with a friend. I have a mac and he has a pc. will we be able to play with each other? we have tried and it hasnt been working but he also has a less dated version than i do so does that mean we cant play also? thankss for the help

Then he should probably get the latest version.I don't know if that would help with trying to do it on a Mac and a PC, but still, you should probably both have the same version.

thats what i thought. trying to do that now. pc and mac might also be a problem
