"Login attempt failed" What do i do?

When i try to connect to a multiplayer game i am asked to fill in my username and password. I use my preffered nickname and the password that i have on my Gamespy account. It still doesnt work. What can i do? Is this another bug?

The solution is posted somewhere else. Had the same problem myself. The trick is that the account MUST be created within the game itself it seems, not thru (or adjusted within) Gamespy.
Pick another e-mail address too, otherwise it reverts to not understanding the new name with the existing e-mail addy.

After setting up another username and e-mail, worked like a charm!

Maybe this will be adjusted in the patch?

Still no luck. Thanks anyway. Have tried to get help from Gamespy but they direct me to the game developers. And Take2 support are harder to get a straight answer from than God himself
