$5 for a single Civ. Good joke lol, so seriously, how much is the DLC?

This is a ing joke. Based off of this alone, I don't know if I will ever buy Civ 6. It's extortion, and odds are I'm just going to pirate the DLC now. $0.99 I can understand, $1.99 at the most, but $4.99?!?! Really? With prices like these, I can't support the company without regretting it, this is the one time I'd ever pirate something, and not feel bad for the company's lost revenue.

Sorry for the rant, but this is extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely lame, especially from a company I used to respect.

Obviously all people who play multiplayer buy the DLC too, so amazing.

Wait for a sale, then they're -50%/-66% off. So that makes them $1,65 which is a reasonable price :)
We just had a very long sale, it only ended a week ago.

Although I bought them at full price, I feel they're worth it for the enjoyment I get in return. But that's subjective, of course :)

Don't pirate, just wait for a sale. Eventually all the DLC will be cheap enough to fall into a price range you can find acceptable.

If you can't wait for a price drop, then that's your own impatience, so you should accept the price as-is, not pirate.

Very few of us are thrilled about the DLC costs and many people aren't particularly fond of the whole DLC concept, but if you really abhor it, just don't buy it, go without. More pirating will just lead to more horrendous DRM to contend with for those of us who actually pay. Ultimately, it's paying customers that get the raw DRM deal, so we get punished for other people pirating.

I understand your frustration, but pirating isn't the answer.

I don't think the DLC is even pirateable for a real version of CiV. I'd recommend you to request modders to make barebones versions of them (there's Babylon which was made quickly after the release of the game).

So, the price difference of three dollars is sufficient justification for the digital equivalent of shoplifting. I wonder how much price difference is needed to justify grand theft auto. Or am I misunderstanding the value principles at work?

I understand not wanting to spend the money. I don't understand not having shopped discount sales if price is actually the objection. I definitely cannot follow the logic on piracy.

Sorry for the preachiness, but this seems extremely lame, even for a rant, especially from a community I still respect.
