Long Distant War - Question

Does anybody know how the AI handles a long-distance war? Sometimes the AI (usually the Germans) will demand a tech from me. They are on a different continent with a number of civs still strong. I say no and they declare war. I convince the other civs on the same continent as the Germans to declare war on them.

Heres the question........I'm in a democracy so I'm motivated to end the war due to war weariness, etc. How does the AI look at a peace treaty? We've gone the entire course of the war with no battles at all. They are to busy on their own continent to bother sending anybody to mine to fight. Will they sign a peace treaty any faster if I engage and kill a few of there units, or does it depend on their success with the other civs? Do I sacrifice some soldiers in battle on their continent to end the war sooner??

Plus you must wait atleast 20 turns from the point you got the other civ's to declare war on them. Or your reputation will take a huge hit.

Had that happen to me on GotM 5, before i knew the computer cared about it :(

People are rioting for a war that cause 0 deaths and no more woundeds. What's the deal?

If you show up next to him with a few attacker he`ll usually talk to you. The more credible your "attack", the cheaper the peace will be.
