Looking for an Old Scenario

I've recently been looking through old scenarios and playing them again, especially old science fiction stuff (which there was never enough of!).

There was an old scenario which i'm sure used to be on this site (although I could be entirely wrong!). I can't remember the name but I think it was named after a scientist and the result of a contest which created a few SF scenarios. (Moore was another one from the series and that also seems to have disappeared...)

It involved Earth being occupied by powers based on the the other solar system worlds and had a very busy map designed to make it look like most of the planet had been urbanised. There were rebel factions fighting from small bases across the planet.

Does anyone else remember it or where I might find it? I can't find the old Civ2 Mafia game with the Sim City 2k tiles either, despite it being in the Scenario League wiki

Try here, and also a ToT conversion of Mafia here. Not sure about the Sci Fi scenario but try trawling through these archives. Also if you check post #9 in the Scenario League Information thread there are loads of links to Civ2 related websites that might host it.

Thanks for the reply!

I had already looked in both those places already, and failed to find it. I'm sure it used to be on here somewhere. Oh well.

I have a vague memory of that contest. Though I have no idea where to find the scenario..

No, that's not the one I'm thinking of. I'm trying to find the one called Gangwars by DarthVeda, I think.

And that's why H Tower is the King ;)

It's good to be king :king:

Sadly it looks like all of the old contest pages were lost, the Hodad Award Center is gone, and poly's search functionality seems to be down. Unless you come across someone that was around for the entire history of the Sleague(I don't think any of the old timers are still in the community), you're probably out of luck finding the other SF scenario.

Edit: strangely it looks like the download link is broken and takes you to the upload screen.

Yes, it's because we haven't finished (yet... :mischief:) the updating of the new wiki!

This is sad as over 90% of the scens are online, so we would just need a small effort to finish it (and then go on with the other ressources like terrain graphics and so on...)

I'll see whether I can fit a few hours in to add the last scens in the coming weeks, starting with Gangwar this week-end (hopefully...)! :D
