Thanks & my feelings weren't hurt. And I really meant it when I said I was sorry. Unfortunately, for better or worse, I went with the first thing that popped into my head for Italy. Again, like I said... for better or worse.

I would like to change it though and will explore your suggestions. Thanks.

well those suggestions were mostly for Tuscany. For Italy I would look into a Castle replacement, although the most appropriate historically would probably be a cathedral replacement (Duomo / Dome), but not in game terms, I guess. Come to think about it, those suggestions I made for Tuscany can work for Italy too.

Mmm yes. For the castle you could do the pentagonal fortress, I can't remember the Italian name though. They started in Italy and were used to defend against canons in the late renaissance onwards. For the cathedral replacement, you could do the basilica, they are quite common in Italy and you could use the Il Duomo as a reference.

Basilica and Duomo are different. Duomo is a Cathedral, typically with a cupola, the main of the city. Basilica is a building centered on a cupola where VIP were buried. Also "Il Duomo" can reference to several cathedrals, since it just means "The Cathedral", so you should also name the city with it.

Ah I see. Than Il Duomo it is! Oh and the castle i mentioned is also called the star fort or the trace italienne.

On the Condottieri, I'd read up some more stories of them. Granted they were a variable thing, I thing some were actually mounted knights. I'd think they should get a variety of promotion lines at the least.

I've never released the Italy civ by itself, instead it was part of my Warlords modpack and will be included in the BtS version when I release it (I'm working hard on it).

For a second leader, I am using Vittorio Emanuele II which was part of the Italy civ I absorbed into my modpack. I believe the LH art was actually by you.

I'd be happy to put the civ together in modular format with the Condotta UU ( Don't worry, no Pizzeria UB ) and PM you with it. It's the least I can do for you since I am using so many of your leaderheads. I'm even using the Final Frontier Red Syndicate LH for Menzies of Australia. It barely needs any re-texturing, just a new background.

Then you or DWOLF can release the Italy civ after you add the new UB. And I think the UU graphic you pointed to looks fine for the Condotta so I will use that unless you point me to some other art.

Give me a few days to put it together (what with the holidays and all) and then I will PM you with a download link.

Yeah, that LH is by me, but it's really old. In those time, we weren't able to do any model modification.

I'll do a carnival bulding soon for the UB, so you will be able to built the civ.

For the Red Syndicate Leader, I'm planing to use him as a base for Pearson or Mackenzie King.
