Losing Stonehenge tends to ruin the game O.o

You know it's a funny thing but I stopped trying for wonders years ago on the advice that I would improve my game if I played without them and that national wonders are enough to compete. Now I just take them by force if I see an opportunity to do so and I believe that playing without trying for them helped me improve my game at a much faster pace than I would of had if I tried for every third wonder.

Hehe I still absolutely love seeing lincoln- or some such leader- sitting around with 5 or so cities and the pyramids though. Cha-ching!

I win more when I don't get henge. True story. :p

Build 20 horse archers. Take the shrine your neighbor built. Bingo. That's the short version.

Probably just researching Monarchy could solve all these early unhappy people issues?..

Well, I certainly don't play on Prince, but... why not? I'm a great fan of going to Hereditary Rule and using military units for happiness. Otherwise, I suffer from the common tendency to try and scrape by on too little military, then get attacked; but at HR, half the enemy offensives never materialise because you have such a big army - and, unlike a temple or theatre, when you pull in some luxuries and increase happiness, the army can march away to make someone else miserable.
