Say, how did you implement the units of your mod? I take it that you aren't able to modify .cvr's and probably used images but did you add more than originally are used in SMACX?

It would be nice to do a picture ala the cover of the SMAC manual (or the SMAX manual on the disk). The picture could be posted as part of an announcement on various sites and a visual would certainly have greater impact than just words.

Haha thanks vyehman! I'm afraid that I can't do that at the moment though as the original high-res pictures are on my currently dead primary machine!

And to answer The Acronym: I've attached my (censored one, don't worry Petek! ) units.pcx as a PNG for you to have a look at. As you can see I put as many units as possible in, and combined a few units to use the same graphic. For example: In Lost Eden I have made Spore Launchers to be exactly the same as a normal Mine Worms (i.e. the Carnivines) so they could share a graphic.

From top to bottom:
1. Charmander, Charmander Explorer

3. Spy (ignore the artefact )

What is the machine's prognosis?

The machine is beyond my personal skillset (not much) and is yet to be taken to the computer shop (half an hour's drive away and I need to do it on a Saturday (or on any day with my friend who works at the shop so I can get a discount), but this Saturday I'm at the Yugioh tourney place again). Fortunately all the data has been backed up so I would lose nothing if it required a total reformat.

Unfortunately my laptop decided about an hour ago to spontaneously die! It won't turn on now and it doesn't recognise its hard drive or CD drive in the BIOS. So now my usefulness is mitigated further, making the trip to the repair shop more important.

I don't have access to anything other than the current beta PG and G files. And not all the quotes are in there as I wanted to wait until I had the full text files on my main PC. I could download FileZilla and remember my password and upload those files if you want me to though.

Otherwise, all I can do is chat, email and draw.
