I decided to make city graphics for the LOTR scenarios either out there or coming out. I'm using Rhye's terrain as the background hills/mountains, and screenshots from EA Games The Battle For Middle-Earth for the cities themselves.

Download for all my Battle For Middle-Earth dervied City Graphics

You never knew Hobbiton was a seaside resort town of the rich and famous, including Abe Lincoln, did you?

I really like Barad dur and Minas, but I think Helms is abit too dark..Its kinda hard to distinguish some parts from others..(whats the wall, whats the ground, whats the tower).

I think the problem is the pic you used is set in night time, and civ III is pretty much daytime...

On another note Maybe a night time terrian set wouldn't be a bad idea

Cool, More LOTR :D . Yunno, with all this LOTR stuff going around, there should be a mod- LOTR vs. Terrorists! It'll rock :goodjob: ! Good Job!

I created a map and when I try to load it it says, "Missing entry in text\PediaIcon.txt"ICON_. Can anyone help me?

Did you try to use these cities in your map?

To install these cities, you need to download them to a folder in the Scenarios folder in Conquests. Your Folder setup should like something like Infogrames Interactive-->Civ3-->Conquests-->Scenarios-->Your_Folder_Name-->ARt-->Cities-->the various LOTR cities. Then, in the Editor, go to Scenario Properties and make it a search file, as shown in the attachment.

You should not have to mess with Pediaicons at any time, which makes your problem kind of puzzling. Let me know if this helps any.
