Can anybody of you experts explain why the same luxuries give more happy faces in Stockholm than in Göteborg (see the 2 pictures)?

In the original Civilization III (/ Play the World / Conquests), a Marketplace increases the amount of happiness each luxury resource provides. This looks like a modded game, but one of the buildings present in Stockholm and not in Göteborg will have the same feature (it isn't the Marketplace).

Thanks for your answer, Need my speed, it is indeed a mod, CCM in fact, highly recommendable.

Look for structures that exist in one town, but not the other. Then look them up in the pedia and see what they provide. One will provide the boost that a market does without CCM. We cannot see the full list in the towns.

Agree with the recommendation!

I know for a fact that CCM-Markets don't give the Lux-boost. IIRC, @Civinator turned that function off for Markets at least in part to encourage players to build CCM's added happy-buildings (but that's OK, because he also gave most buildings zero-maintenance!)

Possibly there's a GW or SW in Stockholm that does boost Luxes?

XTC and tjs282 thank you very much for your kind words about the mod CCM. :)

CCM2 has at least two GWs that have the 'Lux-boost' enabled (so I don´t like it, as it makes many of the wonderful 'happy-buildings' superfluos -as tjs282 stated in his post above :yup:): The Hanseatic League and the Liberty Statue.
