I was browsing through pile of my old cds and saw this classic strategy game ant thought to give it a try and see if it's still as good as in '96 or has time eaten the edge out of it. It wasn't so easy though, seems that it refuses to run under win xp. I tried the windows 95 and 98 compatibility modes but it always gets stuck at the dos4gw loading screen.

So has anyone else tried to play it with xp or does anyone have any other tips on running dos games in xp?

I hard there's some kind of dos emulator out there. That might help.

Try that. It's actually a system that allows sound on dos games, but I find that the vast majority of dos games work when I use it.
