Also interesting part from macworld article:
Jobs then confirmed a long-held belief that Apple was working on an Intel-compatible version of Mac OS X that some have termed “Marklar.”

Mac OS X has been “leading a secret double life” for the past five years, said Jobs. “So today for the first time, I can confirm the rumors that every release of Mac OS X has been compiled for PowerPC and Intel. This has been going on for the last five years.”

Don't think they may be playing around with a way to run
Windows programs under the Mac OS, do you? :mischief:

I bet wine authors must be really pissed off on that misconception. I mean, they even had to state it in project name.

it won't be emulation anymore. Such program clearly states : wine - Wine Is Not Emulator.
Why not? regardless of OS, such programs are running processor native code. Emulation in its full degree is from one platform to another.

True... in fact I've found that the pi calculation program I have, which is compiled for Windows, actually runs faster under Linux+Wine than under Windows XP. :crazyeye:

They're not surrendering, they're getting to their senses. Mac has long been considered superior not only through better software, but powerful hardware. Mac risked turning into the "blonde babe" of computers
