Hi everyone,

Is patch 1.01 necessary for the Mac release of Civ IV: Colonization? Under the "About this Build" heading, under "Advanced," it says:

Colonization Version: 101
Build Version: 1.0.0.1

If it is necessary, how do I install the patch that's been officially released? I downloaded it, but I'm not entirely sure where to put it to make it work/install it. Does this link work for a Mac as well?

Second, I'm interested in playing a straight North American map and I see that one's been posted on civfanatics, but when I put it into my folder, it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to get an additional Mod for it to work?

Thanks,
Matt

I'm curious about the patch as well.

As for maps, if you've put the map into your PublicMaps folder, it should work. On the Mac side, there's actually two of them: one in Documents/Steam Content/Common/sid meiers civilization iv colonization/, and one in Documents/Aspyr/Colonization/

Putting the map in either in of the PublicMaps directories seems to work. EXCEPT that when I try to start a multiplayer game on a custom map, it says that it can't find it (I've tried using both directories; same result).

Any luck with the patch for mac? I am having trouble with it aswell.

Also, do mods work for the Mac version?

Cheers,

Kal
